Finding the perfect bridesmaid dresses can be very daunting. Experience with so many factors to consider, such as fabric, color, style, and fitting, it can all become very confusing and frustrating.

1. Apple Shape
For apples shapes its all about accentuating your positives (such as killer legs), and avoid adding any unnecessary volume to your middle and bringing balance to your shape as a whole.
Apple figures should seek dresses with shape and tailoring, and those simple styles that don’t have a lot of unnecessary fuss. Baby doll and empire waistlines look fab in dresses with either a full or A-line skirt. Styles with a low neckline are also recommended (anything that basically draws the eye up from that middle section).

2. Hourglass Shaped
Create structure by defining the waist and lengthening the leg line are ways to dress your naturally shapely bod. Take advantage of your well-proportioned body and defined waistline by wearing embellished styles. Fitted gowns are also great for showing off your curvy figure. Just be careful with over voluminous silhouettes, as you may appear wider from the side profile, even if the dress is well cut.

3. Inverted Triangle
Also known as the strawberry shape, this figure is all about dressing to flatter, so your main challenge will be to balance your figure so that you don’t look bottom-heavy. Strive for styles that are going to make you look tall and slender.
The key to dressing an Inverted Triangle body type is trying to balance your broader shoulders, chest and back with your narrower lower body to create more of an hourglass effect. This can be achieved by choosing clothes that add curves to your hips and bottom while creating a more defined waist. You have amazing legs so feel free to play with skirt lengths, but don’t go too short otherwise you will appear even larger on top.

4. Pear Shaped
Now lets move onto the pear shape, pear shapes figures are by far the most common and with so many stunning celebrities, theres nothing to fear.
The pear shaped woman will have a slim and slender build, but her problem area is just in those hips! So, it’s vital that you de-emphasize the area around the hips and bring more emphasis to the top portion of your torso and shoulders and ensure you strike a balance in the body’s ratio.

5. Banana Body Shapes
Known as the straight up and down body type, that doesn’t always have to have the flat-chested stereotype, rectangle body shapes are characterized by waist, hip and shoulder widths that are all fairly similar to each other.
The challenge for rectangle shapes is creating the illusion of a defined waistline and placing emphasis on the waist or midriff area to make your figure more shapely and feminine.
Look for scoop-neck and sweetheart tops that help create curves, also halter-necks and slash necks will be perfect for your figure. And you can also try to show off your sexy back or killer legs!
