Key Trends for Wedding Dresses and Bridesmaid Dresses in 2015

If you’re set to marry in 2015 then this post is a must read, we’re rather excited about showing you some of the latest trends for both brides and bridesmaids that will really entice you laid back brides and enthuse you into getting organised and kitted out in the most fabulous gowns that are on the market right now. Designers have been both creative and clever in their ideas this year!

This year it’s all about the tulle skirt and cape details for brides. When we say tulle skirt it doesn’t have to be a full bodied princess skirt, there are so many shapes and silhouettes that have been designed to incorporate this luxurious fabric, its simply a case of selecting the right shape to suit you.

Skirts tend to be full length, while others are completely detachable, making them a winner all year round. Also consider applique with some pretty elegant floral lace added to your tulle overlay skirt or create ruffles and layers for that full frothy look. When ordering a tulle skirt, do ensure that the tulle is soft, durable and ultimately appropriate for an outer lay as tulle is traditionally an underlay fabric, some designers may try to sell you a cheaper tulle quality that should be used as underlay, which in turn will result in a course hand feel and give you bulky appearance.

So capes, yes this is a new unique look that isn’t for everyone, however I do feel that there really is something for everyone, there is such a diverse selection out there as each designer has jumped on this hot trend and put their own spin and flavour on it.  For the daring there are full length hooded capes and superhero styles.  While more classic looks include, short, high neck, lace designs that have been heavily appliqued and embroidered.

TIME FOR THE BRIDESMAIDS…

Bridesmaids also have the green light to wear tulle, traditionally reserved for the bride only, tulle has been introduced into bridesmaid ranges and it’s something every lady should be happy to wear.  Nothing makes me feel more special than wearing a garment made from tulle and I’m pretty sure your best friends forever will feel the same way.
